Parish Calendar for 2011


This year marks the 1350th anniversary of the first Christian missionary on the Isle of Wight. The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle states: "Eoppa, the priest, at the command of Wilfrid and King Wulfhere, was the first to bring Christianity to the inhabitants of the Isle of Wight". During 2011 there will be a Catholic celebration and an Ecumenical celebration of this event.
